Renewed

Renewed according to the Oxford dictionary means having been resumed (begin to do or pursue again after a pause or interruption), re-established (establish again or anew), or revived (restore life or consciousness (the state of being characterized by sensation, emotion, volition, and thought)).  Renewal in the Bible means changing into something new and different, something better.  The blood of Jesus renews us.  We are different.  When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are not the same person as when you started.  2 Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if any man be in Christ, he (or she) is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold all things are made new.  You are no longer a sinner.  You are saved.  You are different.  Don't let anyone try to hold you to the person you used to be. That man or woman doesn't exist anymore.  Just like when you wash clothes.  You change the state from dirty to clean.  The only way they can get dirty again is if you get them dirty.  It's the same with God.  God washed us clean through the blood of Jesus.  We are new.  The only way we can get dirty again is if we choose to sin.  The Holy Spirit is there to remind us that we don't have to get dirty.  If we choose to sin, God is faithful and just to forgive all unrighteousness when we repent (a sincere turning away from self and sin to God).  We are clean again.
