Walk with me into the world of Black women and the taboo side is mental health. This book is a dive into my issues with suicide attempts and ideations, as well as a discussion on studies done and the lack of them to suicide in the Black community. Black women are expected always to be strong. Never have a problem that she can't solve. What many people don't see is behind that bright smile, that strong and determined look, are the eyes without life. The body is stiff because of stress and carrying the weight of life, often alone. Something has to be done. Help me raise awareness about the need for better mental health care in the Black community.
